WHAT IS LEAN
We have worked with the LEAN philosophy for over 20 years & still find some organisations that can’t comprehend what LEAN is. Often, they think it is about cutting cost and hereby heads. But NO, it is not.
LEAN is a philosophy that improves the bottom-line, increase customer and employee satisfaction. The core idea is to maximise customer value while minimising waste. Simply, LEAN means creating more value for customers with fewer resources & remove all non-value-added activities.
LEAN, or continuous improvement, is a way of thinking and a method for improving quality and results. The method often means stronger participation from employees. This can strengthen well-being and the working environment.
In practice, continuous improvements are about making processes easier, faster and better, as well as reducing no-value-added activities. This must be done by concentrating only on what creates value for the customer.
We at PL LEAN have created a PL LEAN Toolbox that can be adjusted to any organisation to make them resistant to any changes. This helps them to become economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
